Link to a very interesting web site that I found purely by accident. Bob Hunts Portsdown Hill web site.Welcome dear reader.
Thank you for taking the time to look at this site which is run by myself and maintained regularly by myself. Both of my web sites are currently being rebuilt. However, if you find a "dud link" anywhere please be patient as I shall be building pages very frequently during the Summer & Autumn 2010. So any "dud" links may not be "dud" for that long, but you could let me know anyway by contacting me at: mick@g6asj.net The 2 sites should have a new look eventually. I have republished both of the sites in their unfinished state for now, but there will be some major upgrades to the pages sometime soon.
I am still learning how to design web sites and attended a part time Web Design course at Highbury College in Portsmouth during summer 2009, using HTML and site construction. These 2 sites will be updated when I learn more about composing web pages and when I have a bit more time. Some of the blank backgrounds will be changed for something more appealing sometime in the near future. This site was originally created with MS FrontPage in 1024 x 768 Resolution via my Vista Laptop and best viewed in this resolution. It will be updated fairly regularly although not as much as I would like to.
Why G6ASJ.co.uk & G6ASJ.net? Well it's my Amateur Radio callsign and unique to me and I can be sure there is/was no other web site with that domain name. Plus it was easy enough to obtain the domain name g6asj.net also. Which I have recently obtained and I am currently getting some of the pages together for the g6asj.net site. both sites should be finished sometime soon and hopefully updated before the Summer of 2010. Both with new looks...
A little bit about my
family and where we live.
We live in Portsmouth City Centre, in the Central South Coast area of the UK.
That's with my Wife Caroline. As well as our grand daughter Clara who is 5 years old at Feb
2010. Clara's mother is my eldest daughter Michele. But Clara lives here with
us under a "Special Guardianship Order" granted by Portsmouth Family Court in
Sept 2006.
A page devoted to our pets is also under construction featuring our fur & feathered friends in other pages of this site eventually.
A bit about some of the history
of the place where we live:
Portsmouth has been a Naval port for many years,
it has natural harbours on it's Eastern and Western sides which have been used since
Saxon and Roman times. Portsmouth is in fact an Island, known as Portsea Island,
a mix of the names PORTsmouth & SouthSEA... There is a creek
running East to West between the Northern end of the 2 harbours. The first Dockyard was originally built in the time of Henry VIII. The City was
given a Royal Charter by Charles I. Portsmouth is also known as
"the Home of the Royal Navy". Nelsons Flagship H.M.S. Victory, which was
actually built in Chatham Dockyard in 1759 has been in dry dock
here since Jan 1922, and was opened to the public in 1928. The City has plenty of
other History also, some of which will be featured in other pages of this site
soon.
I was born in Paulsgrove under the slopes of Portsdown Hill. It's well worth having a look at the "Tunnel" link in the list above on this page which will take you to an external site which opened my eyes. I found the site by accident and learned more about the hill I used to play on than I did when I lived at the bottom of it's slopes for 25 years. If you've lived near the slopes of Portsdown Hill in the past or you know the area you must take a look at Bob Hunts pages.
I am now 54 years old in July 2010, I was born in July 1956, and I am a very musical person, have played guitar on and off since I was about 16 years old. I have recently got back into playing again, and bought another guitar. I now have a small collection of guitars which takes up valuable space here at home. Some of my other interests are listed in other pages of this site. Use the links above to go to the pages mentioned, and use the "back to home page" link on each page which will return you to this page. Where the page has a "still under construction" note you may find some information, but the page(s) will be updated and completed sometime soon.

Copyright notices and small print bit:
Both these sites were written and published by Mick Bradley and are subject to copyright © Mick Bradley (G6ASJ) July 2010. No copying or transferring of any data or text contained in these pages to other means is permitted without the publishers consent. I have refused the Hampshire County Council Social Services department permission on more than one occasion and will willingly do so again. They wont help me so I wont help them. Simple as that. I really hate Portsmouth & S.E Hants area Social Services, they lie through their Teeth and there is nothing that I can do about it, or so it seems.
I also have recently removed pictures of Clara off of this site as some are being published on the "Facebook" web site and in other publications without my permission. This is being looked into and my solicitor is aware of this matter.
There used to be an advert here for my web hosting services and my web packages, but I have decided to remove this as I am not happy to provide such services for a while.
