Welcome to the web site(s) of Myself (Mick Bradley G6ASJ) and my family.
Both of these sites are currently being rebuilt, if you find a dud link anywhere please be patient as I shall be building pages very frequently during June 2008 so it may not be dud for long, but you could let me know anyway by contacting me at: mick@g6asj.co.uk
I am still learning how to design web sites so please bear with me and do report any errors you may find back to me. The site will be updated when I learn more about composing web pages. Some of the blank backgrounds will be changed for something more appealing sometime in the near future. This site was originally created with MS FrontPage in 1024 x 768 Resolution and best viewed in this resolution. It gets updated via Macromedia regularly.
Why G6ASJ.co.uk ? Well it's my Amateur Radio callsign and unique to me and I can be sure there is/was no other web site with that domain name. Plus it was easy enough to obtain the domain name g6asj.net also.
First a little bit about my family and where we live.
We live in Portsmouth City Centre in the Central South Coast area of the UK. That's with my Wife Caroline, and daughter Jessica who's now 13 years old and affectionately known as Squirt. As well as our grand daughter Clara who's now 3 years & 3 months old @ June 2008, Clara's mother is my eldest daughter Michelle. But Clara lives here with us under a "Special Guardianship Order" granted by Portsmouth Family Court in Sept 2006.
A pets page is under construction featuring a few pets in other pages of this site eventually.
Portsmouth has been a Naval City for many years and the first Dockyard was originally built in the time of Henry VIII. The City was given a Royal Charter by Charles I. The city known as "the Home of the Royal Navy" and Nelsons Flagship H.M.S. Victory, which was actually built in Chatham Dockyard in 1759. H.M.S Victory has been in dry dock since Jan 1922, and was opened to the public in 1928. The City has plenty of other History also, some of which will be featured in other pages of this site soon.
I was born in Paulsgrove under the slopes of Portsdown Hill. It's well worth having a look at the "Tunnel" link below which will take you to an external site which opened my eyes, and I lived under the slopes of the hill mentioned for some 20 something years. I found the site by accident and learned more about the hill I used to play on than I did when I lived at the bottom of it's slopes for 25 years. If you've lived near the slopes of Portsdown Hill in the past or you know the area you must take a look at Bob Hunts pages.
I am now 51 years old, born in July 1956, and I am a very musical person, have played guitar on and off since I was about 16 years old. I have recently got back into playing again, and bought another guitar. I now have a small collection of guitars which takes up valuable space here at home. Some of my other interests are listed below. Use the links below to go to the pages mentioned, and use the "back to home page" link on each page which will return you to this page. Where the page has a "still under construction" note you will find some information, but the page(s) will be updated and completed sometime soon.
